Overview:
When Mondain's skull is cast into the ocean near the ruins of Mondain's Britannian Isle, a great maelstrom is unleashed. Captain Johne Ventdemer's ships is one of those sucked into the maelstrom, but due to his abilities as a captain and the skill of his crew, they are able to ride the maelstrom into the underworld where they are marooned. Only four members survive: Captain Johne, Astar, Nosfen, and Faulenne.
