By nature, Tarahalia is a decisive, motivated, and independent woman. A natural born leader, she has a great deal of common sense and is excellent at problem solving. As such, she's got a good head for business. Being from the last branch of the noble Frandon family, Tarahalia doesn't put on airs about her nobility. She is refined, but approachable by all. What's she respects more than anything is competence.
History
Being the youngest daughter on the last branch of a Britain noble family, it was expected that Tarahalia would cement an alliance with another noble family through her marriage. These were not her expectations, however. Tarahalia, ever the independent one, wanted to control her own life and saw such a marriage as a threat to her autonomy. So while in her early teens, she expressed her dismay over the prospect of such an arranged marriage to her friend, Kyrokan Arderon. Kyrokan was an agent of the Cistrum Company which partnered with her family to ship goods between Tokuno and Britannia. Together, they concocted a scheme to win Tarahalia her independence. During a visit to Zento, Kyrokan introduced Tarahalia to the Khantuni Wu Jen, Fang Hua. They made arrangements for Fang Hua to take Tarahalia on as an apprentice.
Tarahalia's father was opposed to the idea, but he realized he was trapped. Despite the fact she was not Tokunese, Fang Hua was greatly revered by the folk of Zento and Trent Frandon realized he could not afford to offend them. Being taken on as an apprentice Wu-Jen was a great honor, especially when it was bestowed upon one of Britannian blood. Tarahalia spent several years in Tokuno in training. Tarahalia was a sponge for learning, mastering every challenge Fang Hua set before her. It was not long before she was well skilled in the arts of the Wu Jen. It brought great honor to the Frandon family and helped promote their business interests in Zento. Tarahalia was well pleased with her lot in life, but then tragedy struck.
In the spring of her sixteenth year, her parents and her elder sister were lost at sea on one of the family merchant ships. Tarahalia mournfully departed Zento to return to Britain to help her brother, Kardon, manage the family estate and businesses. Kyrokan, by this time, has taken control of the Cistrum company and was himself a Fellow Lord of the Twilight Fellowship. They labored together to make the company and Frandon family ventures more successful. Tarahalia officially joined the Twilight Fellowship at this time, receiving her general Fellowship education in weapon play and healing lore.
Skills
Having received training as a Wu Jen, Tarahalia is skilled in a variety of magical abilities. She also received martial training from the Twilight Fellowship so she can take care of herself in a fight.
