General Project

In the Twilight Fellowship Ultima Fiction, we've done away with the facets of Ultima Online. Instead, the various lands exist on a single plane, the same plane that all other Aelon lands exist upon. The Ultimas, however, are more closely gathered but in our fiction, one could conceivably board a ship and sail from the Ultimas to other lands such as Krynn and the Faerun. This is often how we explain the presence of visitors for other realms.

Below is the current Layout Map which shows where each land lays in respect to each other.

Map Key:

1. Britannia (Formerly called Trammis, after the Trammel moon)

2. Akalabeth (Also called Lands of Lord British)

3. Fendoram (Also called the Lands of the Feudal Lords)

4. Barataria (Also called the Lands of the Dark Unknown)

5. Danigar (Also called the Lands of Danger and Despair)

6. Shadarill: Minax's lands, this land is as yet unmapped. It suffered from the Armageddon spell cast by Zog in ancient times.

7. Sosaria: Where Lord British and Exodus had an influence. Exodus's fiery island lies southwest of Sosaria, but also north of Britannia. It was Exodus's armies that were defeated at the Bloody Plains south of Minoc, giving that battle ground its name.

8. Ambrosia

9. Eodon: From Ultima Savage Empires, we intend to convert this land to a more fantasy setting but have little experience with Savage Empires.

10. Mandemas: From Ultima Martian Dreams, we intend to convert this land to a more fantasy setting but have little experience with Martian Dreams.

11. Dul Moroth: Land of the Gargoyles, this isle is the gargoyle realm from Ultima 6. It suffers great catastrophes when the Codex is raised on Avatar Isle.

12. Serpent Isle: From Ultima 7, home to ophidians and some portions enjoy Shamino's rule.

13. Felsaria (So named for the Feluccan moon): The Felucca facet in Ultima Online, this map will be based upon the Ultima map but will have the city names changed. Felsaria suffers from the effects of Armageddon cast by Zog in ancient times.

14. Losalan: The Lost Lands, Felucca. The city names will be chagned. Losalan suffers from the effects of Armageddon cast by Zog in ancient times.

15. Ansara (Also called the Lost Lands): Lost Lands Trammel

16. Ilshenar (Formerly called Trosaria): This land fell under the affects of the Armageddon spell cast by Zog in ancient times, but healers, mages, and druids were able to restore much of the life back to the land using the tree of life, the fountain of life, and other notable and magical landmarks.

17. Malas: Umbra is the site where Zog cast Armageddon and a wind of destruction spread from Malas, ungulfing many lands to the east. Thus the region of Umbra remains terribly scarred by this ancient event.

18. Tokuno

19. Jukaran and Logosia: The Lands detailed in the Technocrat Wars by Austen Andrews. We intend to rename the cities and alter the story to make it less technological and more fantasy oriented.

20. Kongrector: These lands are based upon the Kongregate game, Protector, which utilized many Ultima graphics and sound effects. The game can be found here: http://www.kongregate.com/games/undefined/protector

21. Onkaria: Onkaria is a continent based on Africa, the Middle East, and India. This is where Evain is located and is the center of the Ancient Evain army. It is also the birthplace of Aritoth El'Bashir.

22. Indemis Isles: Tropical islands that have seen their share of conquerers, each leaving finger prints on the culture and history. These Isles are as yet unmapped.

23. Khantun: Khantun is as yet unmapped, though a map may yet be found. Hints of Khantun may be found throughout the Ultima Prime Sagas and its culture and feel would be based upon China and the larger Asian continent. Khantun is actually a land from another game, Windwalker, I believe. I will investigate further into this and expand upon this.

24. Zimmis: This land was created during our pen and paper games in the Ultimas. It is noted for mines at the center of the isle which were seized by ogres. Faltohn Corfaegan and Vesom Ambertiger visited this isle on an ocean journey west. This map is as yet unmapped.

25. Andik Isles: The Andik Isles are based on the Norse and are the homeland of the Leafsta refugees of Angst's story in our guild fiction.

26. Larkland: This continent actually connects to both Ansaria and Sosaria. One might consider them all a single contient. Larkland is best noted for being the homeland of the Larking people, who have blood ties to Onkaria. This land has only an outline map which hasn't been uploaded yet.

27. Caledonia: This group of continents comes to us from Lords of Ultima. It is heavily influenced by the feudal ways of Fendoram, Tokuno, and possibly Khantun.

There are other lands which have not been detailed yet. Among the Aelon pen and paper lands, there are Aedolon, Barakas, Darkon, and Sebria. The lands of the game Bards Tale will also be nearby, as characters could be transferred between the old Ultimas and Bards Tale. In fact, Bards Tale 1 takes place in a city called Skara Brae as well. We may change the name to New Skara Brae and call them settlers of Skaran descent.

The lands of Knights of Legend will also be nearby. This was an old Origin game and the character, Segallion, hails from there. Also, if I can get permission from Faelyn Rose of the White Stag Inn fame, we might be able to include her lands of Tavia as well.

Cold Zones

The cold zones on this map undulate, but they can be imagined like a jet stream which brings frigid air and creates polar land regions such as can be found on the various Ultima maps. The sketchy white lines delineate the polar regions. You will notice also that the two cold zones unite west of Mandemas. Of note, regions beyond the cold zone were not affected by the Armageddon spell. Perhaps it was the cold zone which halted the effects of the spell.
