Kelshikaras

In ancient times, the isle of Kelshikaras lay off the western coast of Britannia, then called Trammis. It was a green and hilly land wreathed in mists and rich in vegetation and animals. The folk of Kelshikaras were in tune with nature and the most talented of them tapped into nature's magic. Thus the druids were born into the Ultimas. In time, however, the clans began to war among themselves, conquering lesser clans to seize their wealth and land. The old ways were forgotten and nature became a slave to their lust for wealth. The trees were cut down, the earth was rent for gold and jewels, and the animals were hunted to extinction so that their pelts could adorn the clan leaders. The words of the druids went unheeded and often clan leaders executed druids that offended them in a demonstration of their own power. Finally, the Great Druid Uisnech determined that drastic measures were required to save the land and it's people. He banished the Kelshikaras, sending them out into the world to relearn the old ways. The rest of the druids he sent to lead the innocent to safety in other lands. Uisnech also decreed that to heal the land, it would need to be submerged into the replenishing waters of the ocean. When the druids and innocent folk were away, he cast a great spell which shook the isle. The prideful clan chieftains quailed and begged for mercy, but their doom was sealed. Kelshikaras sunk into the ocean, drowning the greedy and the warmongers. All that remained of the isle was the white moongate Uisnech created to depart his homeland.
