Day Demeniss came about partly because of the artwork and partly because we thought we'd carry on the tradition of naming the Demeniss children based upon the different divisions of the day. We had Dawn already from UO:LBR, and the name Twilight captured my imagination for the wizardess in the UO Gold artwork. There was a paladin sort accompanying her, however, and that paladin eventually became Day Demeniss, the only male of this branch of the Demeniss family. Initially, we thought to make all the siblings be women, but the name sounds so much more masculine and we had artwork to further this idea.
