Cynamolgus

Overview

The Cynamolgi are a race of dog-men who can walk on their hind legs, much like the Tsuki-Wolves, but can also run more swiftly on all fours. There are many sub-races of Cynamolgi just as there are different breeds of dogs and they range in height from 3 feet for the small breeds to six feet for the larger. Cynamolgi typically roam in packs, often comprised of many different breeds. The more isolated they live, the more suspicious and unruly they may seem, but they adapt well to more civilized societies given time and exposure.

Roleplaying in UO

The Cynamolgi we roleplay in UO are always in the ninjitsu or polymorph dog form and typically wear a bear mask to give a more canine look to their features. Often, we will tame dogs to represent other Cynamolgi they lead.

I was first introduced to the Cynamolgi in Dragon Issue #141 and have since used them in various Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying campaigns that I have run. The race seems well suited for roleplaying in UO, however, due to the ninjitsu dog form.
