Family History

Tormund Chary, a skilled armorer from Anoteer (Britain), immigrated to Paws and opened up a shop there which did very well for a community that struggled daily with the dangers posed by the Fens of the Dead. Having established himself, he returned briefly to Anoteer to wed his sweetheart, Madelaine and bring her back to Paws. Madelaine, a skilled herbalist, opened her own shop in an annex of Tormund's armory and together they thrived. As an purveyor of reagents, Madelaine met many wizards and dabbled in the study of magic.

As a youth, Pierre Laviette apprenticed himself to Tormund, learning the armorer's trade. He fell in love with their eldest daughter Sheila and they were wed with the family's blessings. Pierre and Sheila have since taken on the day to day running of the armory and herb shop. Like her mother, Sheila also dabbled in magic as did Amanda, who seems more interested in embroiling herself in trouble rather than perfecting any trade or skill. Ivaryss and Jinglar, however, applied themselves more stringently to the study of magery. Ivaryss studied in Tryst under Uthrion Flamebreaker while Jinglar apprenticed himself to the mage Mentorian Sorbael of Cove.
